"Lockdown Recipes Remembered" was sparked by a posting of a page out of an old 1983 notebook of recipes, hand-written with care and used to recreate the delight of happy foodie memories in lockdown. Through the good times and the not so good a recreated recipe is deeply personal.
We want "Lockdown Recipes Remembered" to be authentic, evocative and memorable in the context of the COVID-19 world pandemic.
The contributors were invited to share their recipe as people who have been inspirational to us before, during and as we emerge from lockdown.
Each ‘guest’ was asked to give a bit of themselves and share how they have coped through the medium of food. A huge thank you to them all.
Finally, a special shout out for MasterChef: The Professionals 2019, Winner Stu Deeley whose immediate and unequivocal, “how can I help...” gave Angela the confidence to get on with it and to food critic Jay Raynor who wished us well.
With love,
Angela and Clair
